Educational-formative and social impact

The impact that transforms learning, institutions, and society

Epistemic LAS helps educational and training institutions maximize educational-formative and social impact.

Collaborative learning that strengthens institutions and extends their impact to society

Approach and context

Why do we need to talk about impact?

Epistemic LAS defines impact as the significant, measurable, and assessable changes resulting from educational or training actions, both in students and employees and in the institution itself.

Traditional and modern education has shown limitations in preparing young people for the challenges of AI. Impact becomes the key criterion for assessing whether education truly transforms lives, develops useful competencies, and responds to current social and labor needs.

Impact objective and Theory of Change

Optimize the quality of competency-based learning

Epistemic LAS pursues this objective through continuous evidence-based assessment and learning analytics.

  1. 01

    Paradigmatic transformative change

Evolution in the mindset of the organization’s educational stakeholders.

  2. 02

    Transferable epistemological change

Improvement in how knowledge and competencies are understood and applied.

  3. 03

    Emergent change

    Continuous adaptation based on experience.

What impact means

Two connected effects of educational and training action

Educational-formative impact

Improved learning effectiveness, development of knowledge and competencies, and preparation for life and work.

Social impact

Positive changes in the lives of students, the institution, families, and society resulting from educational or training action.

Indicators and outcomes

From visible results to meaningful change

The evaluation integrates the effectiveness of the institution, the learning method, and the experienced and tangible results.

Learning-strategy indicators

They measure the institution’s overall effectiveness in achieving its objectives.

02

Learning-method indicators

They assess quality, time, cost or effort, and learning performance.

03

Change outcomes

Changes experienced by students or employees and by the institution, such as increased employability, personal development, or a renewed mindset.
